Sprinkle Crinkle Cookies Recipe

Sprinkle Crinkle Cookies are a straightforward vanilla cookie that has been given a colorful and entertaining twist!  


– 2 & 1/2 cups (300g) all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, softened – 1 & 1/4 cups (250g) granulated sugar – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/3 cup (about 90g, weights may vary) multi-colored sprinkle – 1/2 cup (55g) confectioners’ sugar, sifted

Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside. Beat butter and granulated sugar until frothy using a medium-speed electric mixer.  

Step 1 


After adding each egg, stir well. Mix in vanilla. Lower mixer speed. Add flour mixture slowly, mixing just until incorporated. Mix in sprinkles.  

Step 2

Refrigerate dough 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with silicone or parchment. Put confectioners' sugar in a small basin.  

Step 3

Roll cold cookie dough into balls using a tablespoonful (I use a #50 scoop). Roll each in confectioners' sugar until coated.  

Step 4

Place cookies on prepared pans with 2 inches between them. Baking each pan for 14–18 minutes until the edges are lightly browned. Do not overbake.  

Step 5

Let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes. Place them on a wire rack to finish cooling.
