Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

Small Batch Chocolate Chip Cookies are a great way to get cookies from scratch without having to make a lot of them.  

INGREDIENTS

– 3/4 cup (90g) all-purpose flour – 1/4 teaspoon baking powder – 1/8 teaspoon baking soda – 1/8 teaspoon salt – 3 tablespoons (42g) unsalted butter, softened – 3 tablespoons (38g) firmly packed light brown sugar – 2 tablespoons (25g) granulated sugar – 1 large egg yolk – 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chip

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a small baking sheet with silicone or parchment. Used a quarter-sheet pan.  

Step 1 

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Set aside. Beat butter, brown sugar, and sugar until frothy using a medium-speed electric mixer. Stir in egg yolk and vanilla.  

Step 2

Lower mixer speed. Add flour mixture slowly, mixing just until incorporated. Mix in chocolate chips.  

Step 3

On the prepared pan, drop 3-tablespoons of dough. Lightly flatten each cookie's top. Bake cookies 14-16 minutes till golden brown.  

Step 4

Take 5 minutes to cool on a wire rack in the pan. Remove the cookies from the pan to cool on a wire rack.
