These Maple Pecan Cookies taste great thanks to the maple syrup and maple-glazed pecans.
INGREDIENTS
– 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour– 1 teaspoon baking powder– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened– 3/4 cup (150g) firmly packed light brown sugar– 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar– 2 large egg– 1 tablespoon maple syrup– 1 cup roughly chopped glazed pecans, plus more halves for topping*
Mix flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Set aside.

INSTRUCTIONS
Beat butter, brown sugar, and sugar on medium speed with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. After adding each egg, stir well. Stir in maple syrup.
Step 2
Reduce mixer speed. Gradually add the flour mixture and mix until incorporated or a few flour streaks remain. Stir in chopped pecans.
Step 3
Cover and chill the dough for 15 minutes until it's cool and manageable. Heat oven to 350°F. Cover baking sheets with parchment or silicone.
Step 4
Drop dough by 2-tablespoon portions (#30 scoop) onto prepared pans, leaving 2 inches between cookies.
Step 5
Press a pecan half into the top of each cookie, gently flattening it. Bake cookies for 16-18 minutes each pan until golden brown.
Step 6
Cool cookies on a wire rack for 5 minutes when on the pan. Remove the cookies from the pan to cool on a wire rack.
