– 2 & 1/4 cups (270g) all-purpose flour – 1 & 1/2 teaspoons baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 3/4 cup (170g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled – 3/4 cup (150g) firmly packed light brown sugar – 1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar – 2 large egg – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – 1/2 cup (85g) semisweet chocolate chip – 1/2 cup (85g) milk chocolate chip – 1/2 cup (85g) peanut butter chip – 1/2 cup chopped nuts (weight varies by type of nuts used) – 1/2 cup (80g) toffee bit

Preheat oven to 350°F. Parchment paper should overhang the two long sides of a 9"x 13" pan by two inches. Grease paper.

Step 1

You can oil the pan instead of using parchment, but parchment makes things easier. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Step 2

Mix the chilled butter, brown sugar, and sugar using a large spoon or medium-low electric mixer.

Step 3

After adding each egg, stir well. Mix in vanilla. Add the flour mixture slowly, mixing until a few flour streaks remain.

Step 4

Add the other ingredients and stir until mixed. Spread dough evenly in pan.

Step 5

Bake 30–35 minutes until sides are golden and a pick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 6

Pan-cool on a wire rack. Then transfer the bars from the pan onto a cutting board using the overhanging parchment paper. Cutting into bars.
