Delicious Brownie Brittle Recipe

This homemade brownie brittle is perfect for chocolate lovers with a crispy brownie base and mini chocolate chips in every bite!
INGREDIENTS
– 3 ounces (85g) bittersweet chocolate
– 6 tablespoons (85g) unsalted butter
– 3/4 cup (90g) all-purpose flour
– 1/4 cup (21g) unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 2 large egg whites
– 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/4 to 1/3 cup mini chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 325°F. Prepare a 10" x 15" jelly roll pan* with parchment paper and light grease.
Step 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Put chocolate and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat at half-power for 30 seconds until butter and chocolate melt when stirred.
Step 2
Cool slightly after stirring until smooth. Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Step 3
Whisk egg whites in a large bowl until foamy. Mix in sugar and vanilla. Add the cooled chocolate mixture. Stir in the flour mixture last.
Step 4
Evenly distribute brownie batter in the pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Bake brownies until firm, 25–30 minutes.
Step 5
Pan-cool on a wire rack. Move the brownies from the pan to a cutting board to break or cut.
