Triple Citrus Cookies Recipe

These chewy Triple Citrus Cookies are full of lemon, lime, and orange flavor!


FOR THE COOKIES: – Zest of 1 lemon (about 1 tablespoon) – Zest of 1 lime (about 2 teaspoons) – Zest of 1 orange (about 2 tablespoons) – 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice – 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice – 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice – 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour – 1 teaspoon baking powder – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened – 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar – 2 large eggs – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract FOR THE GLAZE: – 2 cups (220g) powdered sugar – 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice – 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice – 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice – Zest of lemon, lime, and orange, for garnish (optional)

Making cookies: Heat the oven to 350°F. Cover baking sheets with parchment or silicone.

Step 1 


In a small bowl, combine lemon, lime, and orange zest. In a separate bowl, mix lemon, lime, and orange juices. Set aside. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.

Step 2

Beat butter and granulated sugar until fluffy with a medium-speed electric mixer. After adding each egg, mix well. Add vanilla extract. Add flour mixture gradually, alternating with citrus juice.

Step 3

Fold in zests until well combined. It should be sticky but soft dough. Drop tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheet, leaving 2 inches between each cookie.

Step 4

Bake each pan of cookies for 10–12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden. Remove the cookies from the oven and cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.

Step 5

Flatten the tops with a glass while the cookies are warm. Cool them on a wire rack after removing them from the pans.

MAKE GLAZE: Mix confectioners' sugar, lemon juice, lime juice, and orange juice in a small bowl until smooth.

Step 6

After the cookies cool, glaze the tops. If desired, sprinkle citrus zest on each cookie. Let the glaze set for 15–20 minutes before serving or storing the cookies.
