M&M Marshmallow Sugar Cookie Bars Recipe

These M&M Marshmallow Sugar Cookie Bars are irresistible with a chewy sugar cookie base, creamy marshmallow topping, and colorful M&Ms!
INGREDIENTS
– 2 & 2/3 cups (320g) all-purpose flour
– 1 & 1/4 teaspoons baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
– 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
– 1/3 cup (67g) firmly packed light brown sugar
– 2 large eggs
– 1 egg yolk
– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
– about 1 cup M&Ms
– 1 & 1/4 cups (160g) marshmallow creme
Preheat oven to 350°F. Parchment a 9" x 13" x 2" baking pan. Lightly grease the paper and pan interior. Mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
Step 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Beat butter, sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy with a medium-speed electric mixer. After adding each egg and egg yolk, mix well. Mix in vanilla.
Step 2
Slow down the mixer. Add flour mixture slowly, mixing just until combined. Reserve a cup of dough for topping.
Step 3
Evenly distribute cookie dough in the pan. Sprinkle half the M&Ms on the dough and lightly press them in.
Step 4
Next, add marshmallow creme to the dough. Finally, scatter small amounts of reserved dough on top.
Step 5
Bake the bars for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and a pick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Step 6
Let the cookie bars cool for 5 minutes on a wire rack. Sprinkle the remaining M&Ms on the bars and gently press them in.
Step 7
Top with sprinkles. Lift the bars from the pan and cut them after they cool completely.
