Cranberries, orange zest and juice, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, and nutmeg should be added to a pot with a heavy bottom and brought to a boil.

Set the heat to a simmer, add half a teaspoon of salt, and continue cooking for ten minutes until the mixture has thickened.

After incorporating the butter, set it aside. Fill a sheet pan lined with parchment paper with salmon.
