It's ridiculously easy to make these crunchy chocolate chip cookies, and every bite is full of dark chocolate chips.
INGREDIENTS
– 2 & 1/2 cups (300g) all-purpose flour– 1 teaspoon baking soda– 1/2 teaspoon salt– 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled– 1 & 1/4 cups (250g) granulated sugar– 1/4 cup (50g) firmly packed brown sugar– 1 large egg– 1 tablespoon milk– 2 teaspoons vanilla extract– 8 ounces (226g) dark chocolate, chopped (semisweet or bittersweet)– Flaky sea salt, optional
Heat the oven to 325°F. Cover baking sheets with parchment or silicone. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Step 1
INSTRUCTIONS
Mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large bowl. Whisk in the egg, milk, and vanilla.
Step 2
Slowly add dry ingredients to wet ingredients and stir until combined. Mix in chocolate.
Step 3
Place tablespoon-sized dough balls on the baking sheet, leaving 3 inches between each. Flatten them by pressing lightly. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on each cookie.
Step 4
Bake one pan at a time for 15-20 minutes until the edges are golden brown but the center is soft. Wait 5 minutes before transferring the cookies to wire racks to finish cooling.
